Sculpture Pedestals!
How to Mount Outdoor Sculptures and Pedestals by Zhki’s Gallery
Sculpture Pedestals Questions

I tire of mornings such as these, thoughts on my poem?
I awaken this morn, to her soft sighs,
reflecting the sunlight golden, a creamy thigh -
exposed –
Lips part, a cigarette holder of the finest amber
stems forth, and lush tobacco roils out off the
tip of her tongue -
Hoarsely she replies – “Thank you for the evening” -
and rolls on her side, her marble bottom
exposed.
And I, leaning out over her golden curls – weep -
softly, brokenly, a sculpture beautifully made -
abandoned on his pedestal -
Yes, thoughts.
The marble bottom.
I can’t get past it.
Not your fault.
A good poem, a good scene.

This famous marble sculpture is not made as per the proportions of a human body. Various experts have a theory regarding this which states that this is because when Michelangelo created this sculpture it was supposed to be put on a high pedestal which would then give the appearance of the proportions being correct when viewed from a distance.
The Aphrodite of Cnidus by Praxiteles
