Obscure question – artist named John Anderson? Makes little sculptures of animals sold in St. Augustine, FL?
Ok I know this is obscure, so I don’t know if anyone will know anything about this. But I was shopping at the little stores in St. Augustine, FL, with my parents recently. They showed me these little sculptures of animals in an Indian shop. They were kind of southwestern style animals, lots of geckos, lizards, but some other animals too like elephants, etc.
They had color on them, and I think there was no paint involved, the artist only used natural materials or something to add the color. They were priced well-over $100 each even though they were pretty small sculptures. I think the artist’s name was John Anderson.
I had intentions of trying to find these online somewhere to buy one for them because they liked them so much but considered them too expensive. Unfortunately, no luck! Anyone know of the artist or any information? Even the name of the Indian shop in St. Augustine would be helpful, I didn’t make note of the name.
